Position Summary
Join a team that makes a real difference on the mountain. Weβre looking for caring, team-oriented individuals who want to help others, promote safety, and be a visible presence on the slopes. This role requires a minimum of two mid-week shifts, typically between 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. (hours may vary during holidays or depending on patient needs).
Responsibilities and Duties
- Uphold and promote safety guidelines, including monitoring out-of-control skiing/riding, trail closures, trail maintenance, and chairlift safety, as directed by the COO or Paid Director.
- Approach guest interactions with professionalism, even in challenging situations such as lift line disputes, collisions, or accidents.
- Operate a snowmobile once cleared by the Paid Director.
- Assist with lift operations as a Bullwheel-trained operator (training provided post-hire).
- Contribute to early- and late-season preparations, including trail assessments, equipment setup, and end-of-season breakdowns.
- Provide medical support in our Base Patrol Building (for licensed medical professionals).
- Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with staff across departments to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Outdoor Emergency Care Technician certification (OEC) or equivalent medical credentials (EMT, Paramedic, MD, or RN) with OEC bridging modules.
- Ability to work in cold, snowy, and variable conditions.
- Physically able to lift and move heavy objects.
- Comfortable using basic tools.
- Must be able to ski confidently at a strong intermediate level in all types of weather and snow conditions.
- Scheduling may vary based on operational needs and is determined by the Director and COO.
