2025- 2026 Snowboard Instructor

Buck Hill Ski and Snowboard Area is looking for enthusiastic and skilled Snowboard Instructors to join our team for the winter season. As a Snowboard Instructor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality snowboarding instruction to guests of all ages and abilities, ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and educational experience on the slopes. 

Instruction: 

• Conduct snowboarding lessons for individuals and groups, catering to beginners, intermediate, and advanced snowboarders. 
• Customize teaching methods to suit different learning styles and skill levels. 
• Demonstrate and instruct proper snowboarding techniques, safety measures, and slope etiquette. 

Student Assessment: 

• Evaluate students' snowboarding skills and progress throughout the lessons. 
• Offer constructive feedback and motivation to help students improve. 
• Ensure students are placed in appropriate skill level groups. 

Safety and Supervision: 

• Promote and enforce safety practices on the slopes. 
• Supervise students to ensure their safety and compliance with snowboarding area rules. 
• Address any safety issues promptly and effectively. 

Customer Service: 

• Maintain a friendly and approachable attitude while interacting with guests. 
• Provide information and answer questions about Buck Hill's facilities and services. 
• Handle guest concerns and feedback in a professional manner. 

Qualifications 

Experience: 

• Previous experience in snowboarding instruction or a strong snowboarding background is preferred. 
• Knowledge of snowboarding techniques and safety practices. 

Certifications: 

• AASI (American Association of Snowboard Instructors) certification is a plus but not required. 

Skills: 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Patience and the ability to work effectively with children and adults. 
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 

Physical Requirements: 

• Ability to snowboard for extended periods and in various weather conditions. 
• Physical stamina to assist students with equipment and participate in on-slope activities.
