WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for an outgoing detail-oriented person that has experience using point of sale systems, enjoys interacting with the public and has guest service experience in the ski, outdoor recreation or travel industry. The ideal candidate should enjoy working in a fast pace dynamically changing work environment.

In this position you will be interfacing on a regular basis with many other Eaglecrest Work Units. Most customers are local Juneau residents that you will be assisting multiple times throughout the season. This creates an amazing opportunity to build new relationships with a very diverse cross section of the community.


WORKING HOURS AND LOCATION
You will be working in the Porcupine Lodge during the Eaglecrest Operating season. Your work week will generally be in the fall Monday - Friday 8am- 4pm and during the winter season Wednesday - Sunday 8:00am to 4:00pm. Working weekends and holidays are mandatory. There will be opportunities to work overtime during holiday periods.

Typical Responsibilities

DESCRIPTION OF WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Supervising Ski & Snowboard Instructors, the Snowsports School Coordinators & Administrative Coordinators. Training Ski & Snowboard Instructors. Supervising the daily activities of instructors, classes, and organization of on-mountain programs. Administering the Point of Sale System for the Snowsports School Modules. Assisting the Snowsports School Director with development of new & existing programs & workshops. Provide exceptional guest service to internal and external guests. Teaching ski/snowboarding lessons.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience:      Four (4) seasons as a Ski/ Snowboard Instructor. Two (2) Years of Supervisory/Lead experience. 

Note: A Season is defined as 3 months of full-time work.   

Certification:     PSIA/AASI Level II or Comparable Foreign Equivalent certification. A second PSIA/AASI specialty of any level is required.

Special Requirements:   Demonstrated proficiency as an advanced/expert skier/snowboarder regardless of conditions.
