The Emergency Management Internship is an unpaid position that will work under the direction of the Emergency Management Manager with supporting the Texas State Aquarium and the Institute for Wildlife Conservation in effectively managing emergencies and reducing associated risks.Β

Responsibilities could include but are not limed to:
- Assists the Emergency Management Manager in a variety of roles and special projects.
- Assists in internal exercise program development and design in accordance with HSEEP standards and participates in various stakeholder exercises.
- Assists in ensuring the success and ready status of the Wildlife Response Operations Center (WROC) and associated equipment and supplies.
- Accompany Emergency Management Manager to various emergency management meetings or exercises in the region.
- Assists with documentation and tracking of all emergency management activities as required for compliance, reimbursement, and reporting.

Degree Type Preferred: Emergency Management, or similar degree
Hours per week: 10-20/week
Duration: 10-12 weeks
Requirements: Individuals should be enrolled in a college or university at a Junior or Senior level with good academic standing.
