WHAT YOU'LL DO: - Your role involves patrolling parks and facilities by foot and vehicle, ensuring smooth operations.
- You'll open/close gates, check locks, monitor participants, and inspect the facilities.
- You’ll escort participants, enforce rules, check equipment, address concerns, manage offenses, and contact the police when necessary.
- Additionally, you'll report crimes and securely store funds.
REQUIREMENTS: - High School Diploma or GED; customer service experience; experience in security work desirable.
- Self-starter with strong initiative to manage tasks and maintain a work schedule
- Skilled in handling tense situations, calming individuals, and address & control disruptive violators.
- Valid Kentucky driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid required upon employment.
SALARY: - Grade 50; $16.50/hr. Position is subject to random drug testing.
WORK HOURS: - 18-20 hours per week.
- Schedules will vary, partly depending on the employee’s availability.
- Summer months include day hours at water park; generally remaining hours are afternoons until late night; and weekends afternoon until 8:00 p.m. Several employees help cover the various duties and schedules.
- Park Patrols: Nightly 5:00 p.m. to midnight.
- Water Park: Late May through early September (weekends from mid-August on) open 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. (open at 1:00 on Sundays).
- Recreation Centers: Weekdays 4:00 – 10:00/11:00 p.m. all year except summer. Weekends March-November from 11:00/1:00 to 8:00 p.m., Saturday hours 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. remainder of year; Sunday hours remainder of year 1:00/2:00 to 8:00 p.m. except
- 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. late May to early August.
