WORK OBJECTIVE

This position is responsible for safeguarding the park areas, facilities, and persons using the parks.  Provides security services in City Parks to residents and visitors alike; maintains an environment where people feel safe and secure.  Provides information about park rules and regulations, including explanations and enforcement of regulatory codes and ordinances relating primarily to park usage.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Graduation from high school or equivalent plus (1) year of experience in a field related to the job. Must have First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certifications within (3) three months of hire. Must have a valid Florida driver's license with satisfactory driving record throughout employment.

Must have National Incident Management System (NIMS) certification (level to be determined by job classification requirements) or obtain within one year of employment.  

In addition to meeting the minimum qualifications listed above, an individual must be able to perform each of the established essential functions in order to perform this job successfully.


ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Applicants who demonstrate they meet the minimum requirements may be subject to an extensive selection process and screening program, which may include, but not be limited to, evaluation of training and experience background investigation; medical evaluation; controlled substance screen.
 
Applicants are required to sign an affidavit for non-use of tobacco products in order to be considered for employment.
