General Purpose:

Reporting to the Director of Sales Operations, the Tour Guide is responsible for leading engaging, interactive, and informative factory tours and providing visitors with historical and product knowledge while ensuring a memorable experience. This role requires strong communication skills, a pleasant demeanor, and the ability to interact with visitors and internal staff effectively.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Conduct factory tours as scheduled.
  • Assist with factory tour scheduling and maintaining factory tour audio equipment.
  • Ensure visitor compliance with all current safety guidelines.
  • Assist in the 1833 Shop as needed.
  • Assist and support Customer Service and Guest Relations functions as required.

Skills, Abilities, & Competencies:

  • General computer knowledge (Microsoft Office) preferred.
  • Strong knowledge or ability to gain knowledge of Martin Guitar products and history required.
  • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to present information in a fun and engaging format.
  • Excellent people skills to deliver an excellent customer experience.
  • Ability to suggest and influence guitar sales.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to handle repetitive tasks daily.
  • Ability to problem solve in a professional manner to ensure a positive visitor experience.

Education:

  • High School diploma or GED required.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and frequently with visitors and internal staff.
  • Work Hours: Flexible schedule, 10-25 hours per week between 8:00 am โ€“ 4:00 pm.
