Job Summary St Joseph Catholic Church, Manchester is seeking enthusiastic, reliable, and faith-filled Summer Camp Aides to assist with parish and school-based summer camp programs. This position offers an opportunity to support children in a safe, fun, and spiritually enriching environment. Summer Camp Aides play a vital role in helping lead activities, supervise children, and contribute to a positive camp experience rooted in Catholic values.Job Responsibilities
- Assist camp leaders and staff with daily activities, games, crafts, and lessons
Supervise campers to ensure their safety, engagement, and appropriate behavior
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming camp environment
- Support and participate in faith-based activities and prayer
Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful atmosphere among children and staff
- Assist with setup, cleanup, and transitions throughout the camp day
- Communicate positively and professionally with children, parents, and fellow staff
Job Requirements
Minimum age requirement: 16 years old (varies by site)
Experience working with children in a camp, school, parish, or childcare setting is preferred:
Willingness to uphold and model Catholic values and teachings
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Energetic, dependable, and compassionate attitude
CPR/First Aid certification is a plus (may be required at some locations)
