Day Camp Counselor

Description:

In this role, you will conduct summer programming for children. Examples of Duties: Work under the leadership of a Recreation Department Facility Manager, Camp Director, and Camp Unit Leaders.

• Assist in running an all-day summer camp program at a City recreation center.
• Work with an assigned group of 10-12 campers; ages may range from 6 to 12.
• Adhere to a provided schedule of activities including: swimming, arts and crafts, games, sports, and

education:

al enrichment.

• Monitor the safety and wellbeing of participants.

Supervise summer hires, volunteers, and counselors in training.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic

Qualifications:

Available to work Monday - Friday 9:00 - 5:00 pm for the summer camp season. Able to stand and walk outdoors in a variety of weather conditions for prolonged periods of time. Valid state-issued driver’s license.

Experience:
