working with children (Pre-K-5th grade) in an energetic summer camp environment and creating a summer full of memories for our campers (and yourself), we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
include, but are not limited to: Assist the Fort Wonder Site Director in delivering exceptional summer camp
experience:
s for campers, families, and camp staff Provide support to Day Camps and Specialty Camps staff. This includes substituting for counselors as needed in the classroom.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with supervisors and peers as issues arise Assist with the oversight of camper lunch periods Lead camp operations, including preparation and distribution of camp supplies Commitment to summer schedule as follows: May 26-29: 8:00AM-4:00 PM camp training, with 30 minute lunch break daily June 1-July 17: 7:45 AM-4:00 PM Specialty Camps, Monday through Friday, with 30-minute lunch break daily.
(NO camps June 19 or the week of June 29-July 3.) July 20-July 31: 7:45 AM-12:00 PM OR 11:45 AM-4:00 PM Specialty Camp shift, M-F Pay Range: $15+ per hour Minimum
qualifications:
High School graduate At least one year of demonstrated
experience:
managing groups of children and leadership
experience:
in a summer camp setting Must pass a criminal background check and positive verification of references ​ Physical demands: Must be able to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 50 pounds Will spend significant portions of the day walking or standing Subject to outside environmental conditions Equal
