Program: Hamilton Hotel | 30 Hamilton Place, Manhattan, NY 10031 What You’ll Do As a Recreation Specialist, you will work under the supervision of the Recreation Coordinator and with school-age children living in one of our temporary family shelters, and lead them in developmentally appropriate activities. You’ll also participate in community outreach to obtain in-kind donations, service linkages, and other resources for the children in our program.
Some of the activities you’ll lead are:
STEM projects. Arts and Crafts. Computer literacy. Homework help and education support.
- Development of life skills.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all participants in recreational activities.
- Performing other duties as assigned by supervisory staff.
You’re a great fit for this role if you:
Are creative, responsible, patient, kind, and caring. Enjoy working with children. Have strong organizational and time management skills Have a valid US driver’s license. Have an Associate’s degree.
Compensation:
Actual compensation will not be less than the applicable minimum wage, prevailing wage, or exempt salary requirements under federal, state and local laws. We Have GREAT BENEFITS!
