Position Objective:
The RWC Administrative Coordinator works with RWC Director as a part of the Core Leadership Team to manage the administrative logistics of Redwood Camp to campers and parents with quality customer care, enabling RWC Staff to minister without hindrance, and organizes and manages all transactions in the Trading Post Office in a manner consistent with MHA’s mission, vision and values.
General Qualifications:
The Redwood Camp (“RWC”) Administrative Coordinator is a Ministerial position. Ministerial staff render their work, stewardship, relationships and behavior as evidence of being followers of Jesus Christ while embracing and affirming Mount Hermon Association, Inc.’s (“MHA”) mission, vision and beliefs. They are responsible for defining, cultivating and leading MHA’s Christian community, conference programs, and retreats.
Key Job Accountabilities:
- Manage camper registration including, but not limited to: camper paperwork, working closely with parents, and balancing and coordinating registration tasks for multiple camp programs.
- Manage RWC Program staff members’ needs including but not limited to: answering telephone calls, mailings, cover copying duties to fulfill needs of program, maintenance and constant updating of files for campers and camp information, as well as updated schedules.
- Work with RWC Core Leadership Team.
- Maintain inventory, organization, cleanliness, and sanitation of office and supplies.
- Maintain security for all offices and records used in both Administrative and Trading Post positions.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Qualifications:
Education/Certifications/Licenses:
High school graduate; college graduate preferred. Must be CPR/First Aid certified (before arriving at camp). Must possess a valid current driver’s license and have a clean driving record.
Work Experience:
Previous experience working with children preferred. Familiarity with camp programming preferred. Prior experience in leadership roles in camp settings preferred. Previous experience working with college age students in ministry settings preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must be a team player with a passion for the camping industry. Must possess leadership skills and emotional and spiritual maturity. Must have strong relational skills and high energy to engage with youth and adults. Ability to articulate gospel of Jesus Christ as communicated in Scripture. Mature understanding and respect for authority and peers, as well as camp guidelines and principles.
Must be creative, detail oriented, with the ability to follow through with projects. Must be flexible with an ability to adjust and problem solve in challenging situations. Ability to engage in a variety of outdoor activities.
Physical Demands:
The physical environment requires the employee to work inside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Requires sitting, standing, squatting, stooping, twisting, seeing, hearing, talking and lifting of 25 lbs.
Additional Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age due to the requirements for onsite community living.

Satisfactory completion of background investigation as well as ability to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
