    Job DetailsJob Location: Arizona Snowbowl - FLAGSTAFF, AZ 86002Position Type: SeasonalAccepting applications for the Winter 2026-2027 Season. Potential candidates may be requested to present on location for on-snow interviewing in the Spring of 2026 weather permitting. (PT or FT, Winter Seasonal Position) This is a seasonal position that is responsible for emergency medical care, stabilization and transportation of injured guests, creating a safe environment for guests and staff, and providing great guest

    the outdoors. Ski Patrol requires strenuous outdoor work, in all possible weather, both independently as well as in teams in sometimes stressful situations.

    Qualifications:

    Essential Functions: Efficiently and safely provide direct patient care; including determining the nature of injury or illness and notifying dispatch of equipment needed to stabilize, and transport guest.

    • Provide assistance to uninjured guests in difficult situations.

    Complete and review documentation of incidents, complete and review daily logs, resolve conflicts, and negotiate with disgruntled guests and employees.

    • Assess and mitigate hazards and safety concerns within the resort area.
    • Maintain resort area signs, ropes, padding, and fencing.
    • Maintain readiness for searches, chairlift evacuation, avalanche rescue, and other situations.

    Operate snowmobile as needed following established snowmobile and gas log procedures. Operate machinery in a safe and careful manner. Complete all required documentation in a professional and timely manner including incident reports, logs, and checklists.

    • Follow safety procedures at all times, report any potential or existing safety hazards to supervisor immediately or remedy when possible.

    Check safety and rescue equipment daily for proper function and readiness.

    • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the patrol procedures.
    • Provide Ski Patrol coverage for special events.

    Avalanche mitigation (with provided training). Will be required to run the dispatch station. Minimum

    Qualifications:

    18 years of age or older HS Diploma or equivalentability Current National Ski Patrol Outdoor Emergency Care (OEC) certification, Arizona EMT or WFR. Valid driver’s license, with a clean driving record. Advanced to expert skiing ability and be able to safely negotiate any area of the mountain in all weather and snow conditions.

    Requirements:

    Must be able to conduct duties in a high altitude environment, occasionally lifting and carrying people and objects weighing up to 150 pounds, and must be able to occasionally push or pull toboggans with injured and uninjured skiers/snowboarders weighing up to 300 pounds. Frequent use of skis/snowboard, poles, toboggans and controls.

    Constant use of near and far acuity and depth perception, and hearing. Frequently climbing, balancing, reaching, handling, engaged in normal conversation, and use of color and field of vision. Occasionally stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, feeling. Frequent exposure to the sun. Occasional exposure to mechanical hazards, high altitude exposed worksite, burns, explosives, toxic and caustic chemicals, fumes, odors, mists, gases and poor ventilation.

    Work is performed outdoors in sometimes inclement weather at a high elevation (up to 12,000 ft.). Competencies Required: Advanced to Expert level skiing ability. Ability to read, write, and interpret professional legal documentation. Ability to provide prehospital, BLS/EMT standard level of care. Ability to interact with customers and coworkers in a friendly, professional manner.
