Job Title: Outdoor Pursuits Kids Camp Counselor

• Reports to: Outdoor Pursuits Manager and Executive Director of Golf & Recreation

Status: Non-Exempt

Job Type: Full-time, seasonal

Pay Rate: The rate of pay listed on job boards are auto-generated numbers.

Mountaintop’s actual rate of pay will be determined during the hiring process.

Position Summary: To establish and maintain a Mountaintop welcoming and service environment for members, guests, and their children. In addition to creating lasting memories while at Kids Camp, you will be expected to facilitate group activities, crafts, excursions and help with special events. You are a role model to our youngest members and expected to lead by example.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Kids Camp):

• Ensure the safety of members while at camp.
• Play and have fun with the kids while at camp.
• Have a love for children and a desire for fun.
• Ensure all areas are clean and functioning properly.
• Be creative.
• Responsible for opening and closing duties.

• Work various hours, holidays, weekends, and long hours on feet. (Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day Are Required)
• Work in the sun for extended periods.

• Knowledge and adherence to all uniform and grooming requirements.
• Be professional in both appearance and manner at all times

Qualifications:

• Red Cross First Aid & CPR Training
• 1-2 years of experience with kids

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.

• Work in the sun for extended periods.
