The Summer Operations Coordinator is a part of the camp leadership team and is responsible for supporting the camp Director of Camp in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of Camp Keff.
The Summer Operations Coordinator assists in the coordination, program development and execution of Camp Keff programs and provides direct supervisory support to the camp Unit Heads, counselors, and extended care team. The Summer Operations Coordinator is responsible for creating a safe camp
experience:
for campers rooted in fun and liaising with parents to deliver excellent customer service. Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
include the following. The Summer Operations Coordinator will support the Camp Director with training development and facilitation for all staff. Serve as the first point of contact for staff questions, camper needs, and operational issues; know when to resolve directly and when to escalate to the Camp Director or senior staff.
- Assist as needed in providing senior staff coverage to all programs.
- Support the Camp Director in all aspects of camp operations, including leading staff meetings, coordinating camper drop-off and pick-up, ensuring the success of the extended care program, field trips, and more.
Continually identify gaps in service and/or newly emerging needs and develop plans to respond as needed.
- Assist with the monitoring of program budgets.
- Work with staff and within the established budget to ensure that camp practices are environmentally sound.
Purchase, organize, and maintain food and program supplies within established budget. Work closely with staff to ascertain supply needs.
- Ensure that food and supplies are stored and handled safely by all staff.
- Prepare daily lunch (SchoolFoodies Food Service) and snacks.
- Provide food supplies that adhere to dietary restrictions encountered in the camp community.
- Organize and maintain all first aid and safety supplies.
- Assist with the planning and execution of all camp family events.
- Assist on offsite overnights for Kadima and Keff Adventure as needed.
- Coordinate off-site programming, including reservations and transportation logistics for all camp programs.
Uphold the mission and values of the PJCC and camp programs. Other duties as required. Salary: $1,103 - $1,280 per week depending upon
experience:
Overnight bonus of $75/night for sleepovers and camping trips. Free Summer membership to the PJCC Athletic Center.

- Organized and task-oriented.
Basic First Aid, Adult and Child CPR with AED certified or ability to obtain upon employment. Passion for working with youth.
Experience:
working in a camp environment in a supervisory role. Knowledge of Jewish culture a plus. Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 before start of employment Hours: 8:30am- 5:00pm, Monday- Friday, May 1 – May 26 7:30 am – 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday, June 15 – August 21 Mandatory staff training 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday June 1-June 12, includes a mandatory overnight.
Additional extended days and/or overnights may be required. Dates and schedules for extended work hours will be provided during staff training. Additional opportunities through August 11 are available.
