Job DetailsJob Location: UPPER SCHOOL - MIAMI, FL 33133Lead engaging day camp activities for children in areas such as athletics, arts and crafts, performing arts, and STEM, ensuring a safe, fun, and supportive environment. Activity instructors will lead four to five activity periods per day for groups of up to 20 campers, with the assistance of a senior and junior counselor.

Responsibilities:
): Camp by the Bay runs from June 15 to July 24, with a mandatory staff orientation from June 10 to June 12. There will be no camp on June 19 and July 3. Primary daily work hours are 8:15 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with the possibility of additional after-camp work opportunities until 4:30 p.m. (based on enrollment and staffing needs).
Applicants who are not available for the full camp period are still encouraged to apply; however, preference will be given to applicants who are able to work the entire session.
- Lead age-appropriate day camp activities in athletics, performing arts, visual arts, arts and crafts, basic STEM concepts, among others, for campers in Kindergarten through 4th grade.
Foster an inclusive and supportive atmosphere where children feel safe to explore, create, and learn.
- Ensure activity materials are fully set up when camp groups arrive, and activity spaces are clean and organized upon activity completion and at the end of each day.
- Provide structured directions, classroom management, and supervision to campers during activities, ensuring they follow safety rules, activity instructions, and remain engaged.
- Coordinate and collaborate with camp counselors and camp staff to ensure campers are receiving high-quality programming.
- Communicate consistently and effectively with camp administration regarding the quality of camp activities and needs for further resources to deliver high-quality day camp programming.

Elementary or middle school teachers,
education:
majors, or college students with relevant coursework in arts, sports, STEM, or an
education:
related field.
- Demonstrated ability to engage, motivate, and manage groups of young children effectively.
Strong communication and classroom management
skills:
Able to give clear instructions, maintain schedules, respond to camper behavioral concerns or conflicts quickly and effectively, and adapt activities as needed to ensure campers are engaged and receiving high-quality programming. Passion for brainstorming new activities, encouraging camper participation, and creating memorable camp
