Description:

This position will assist assist with conservation practices/land management activities within 11 areas of the Northeast Region of the Parks Division. Position will headquarter out of Ponca State Park. Location: Ponca State Park or another park in the Northeast Region as mutually agreed upon the Regional Park Superintendent.

experience:

OR 1 year coursework/training in fisheries management, natural resources, biology, and/or agriculture. Preferred Qualification: Bachelor's degree in wildlife, fisheries, natural resources or biology. Applicants with Pesticide Applicators license and Class A CDL license with O endorsement preferred.

KNOWLEDGE,:

SKILLS:

, & ABILITIES: Knowledge of wildlife habitat management principles, goals and objectives. Ability to communicate effectively, work with little supervision and with a variety of staff. Computer

skills:

(Excel, Word, ArcMap/GIS) highly desirable. Knowledge of and ability to operate tractors, All Terrain Vehicles (ATV's), chainsaws, and farm equipment. Natural Resource Management Hazard Tree Management Park Landscape Management Pesticide applicator license is preferred.

JOB DUTIES:

Under general direction of Northeast Region Superintendent and area Park Superintendents, the position will assist in the implementation of a wide-variety of land management activities. These activities will include prescribed burning, control of noxious weeds/invasive species, woodland management, seeding, seed harvest, and related conservation practices.
