Job Summary:
The Training Manager (TM) supports the planning, coordination, and execution of SERE training programs conducted at JBSA-Lackland. The TM ensures training activities are conducted in accordance with approved curriculum, training schedules, and applicable standards. The TM coordinates between contractor personnel and Government training leadership to ensure safe, realistic, and standards-compliant training delivery. They also monitor course execution, instructor readiness, and maintain visibility of training schedules and instructor qualifications to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality SERE training. TMs may perform instructional duties when required and must maintain qualifications consistent with SERE Instructor position requirements.
TMs will support coordination and execution of various SERE training courses, including the Advanced SERE Skills Training Course, Long-Term Survival and Evasion, SST-OC, ECAC, and other SERE School training events.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily execution of SERE training events and course iterations
- Maintain awareness of training schedules, instructor assignments, and course staffing requirements
- Support coordination of classroom, laboratory, and field training events
- Maintain visibility of instructor certification status and qualification requirements
- Coordinate instructor staffing to ensure sufficient coverage for scheduled training events
- Maintain training records and documentation associated with course execution
- Support instructor evaluations and certification processes as required
- Coordinate logistical requirements associated with training operations
- Maintain communication with instructors and Government training leadership to support course execution
- Support planning and coordination of training conducted at remote training locations when required
- Maintain the ability to perform instructional duties when necessary to support training continuity
Required Skills and Experience:
- Graduate of SV81A SERE Specialist Training
- Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance
- Ability to meet the physical requirements and pass the human factor evaluation necessary to safely conduct field and laboratory training
- Experience coordinating or managing training operations, course scheduling, or instructor staffing.
- Ability to support extended duty days and non-standard work schedules as required by training cycles, and operate in austere environments and variable weather conditions as required
- Recent experience supporting SERE training programs or comparable high-risk training environments
- Meet the qualification requirements applicable to SERE instructors supporting the program
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Recent experience supporting Full Spectrum Level C (High Risk of Capture) SERE training
- Recent experience supporting ECAC or SERE Specialist training programs
- Experience managing instructor teams or coordinating course execution
- Experience contributing to curriculum development, lesson plan refinement, or instructor certification processes
- Familiarity with SERE training documentation, certification requirements, or course administration
- American Red Cross CPR and First Aid or equivalent
- Wilderness or survival medicine, e.g., NOLS Wilderness First Aid, First Responder, or EMT
Required Background Check: Must have a T3, T3R or National Agency Check with Law and Credit (NACLC)

T3i Drug Free Workplace Statement:
As a Federal Government Contractor, T3i is required to strictly adhere to federally mandated drug-free workplace standards. To ensure compliance with this requirement, T3i conducts pre-employment drug screening for all new hire personnel (full-time, part-time, and independent contractor) and annual random drug screening for all current T3i personnel. All drug screening includes testing for the following drugs, at a minimum: Marijuana (CBD, hemp oil, and other cannabidiol use may result in a positive result), cocaine, amphetamines, opiates, 6-monoacetylmorphine, and PCP. Personnel who cannot pass drug screening are not eligible for employment with T3i.
