What you:
will do As a Developer on our Technical Development team, you will manage and lead moderate to high level technical development of assigned styles from design concept through to production ready hand-off. You will partner with design to articulate the fit intent and overall aesthetic into 3D and physical proto samples and will ensure the fit and construction/BOM meets or exceeds expectations of quality and cost.
You will own the specifications for the products, publish and maintain all the records, style files, Bill of Materials, and samples associated with the product and related programs. You will provide guidance and knowledge to the cross functional team on construction and fit. You will lead the cross functional team through a review of fit execution at each proto stage.
You will foster a collaborative and collegial environment across the technical development team and with cross functional partners. Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.
- Plan and track the development schedule of prototypes Collaborate with the Standards Team to ensure all products within assigned category are aligned to TNF fit standards and guidelines Ensure consistent execution of fit intent and fit consistency with support from Standards Team through clear analysis, fit corrections, visual adjustments, communication and use of block patterns.
- Develop products, recommend constructions, advise on proper fit by style to meet Design and Merchandising expectations.
- Provide cost engineering solutions to adhere to the target margins with support from Costing Schedule and lead fit sessions with support from Senior TD/TD Manager Identify and assist in the development of department guidelines and standards to ensure operational excellence and consistency across teams.
- Participate in and/or lead special projects, process or calendar optimization with supervision Commercialize assigned styles from SMS to Bulk production and releases specs for Fit and BOM/Construction.
Seasonal travel overseas to manufacturers may be required Train and work in 3D software to review and create virtual prototypes and/or leverage vendor created 3D assets for development to shorten prototype approvals and iterations. What do you need to succeed? We all have unique
