Job Description
Position Summary: The Day Camp Craft Counselor is responsible for planning, preparing and teaching how to make crafts to children ages 5 – 12, during summer Day Camp.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare for crafts for each class time during summer Day Camp
- Assist with the purchasing of supplies
- Responsible for the safety and supervision of campers in each class, with
- assistance of their counselor
- Attend all staff meetings
- Prepare and clean meeting space after each session
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or GED, or any equivalent combination of training and
experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Some college preferred
- Some experience in working with and teaching children
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
- Some artistic and creative skills and experience preferred
Computer Skills:
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
- Working knowledge of TEAMS and SharePoint
- Willingness to learn new software as needed
Certificates and Licenses:
- Complete Safe From Harm training, and keep current as needed
- Complete First Aid/CPR certification within 30 days
