The North Rutherford YMCA is Now Hiring for Summer Day Camp Counselor s Position Type: Seasonal (Monday - Friday schedule) Pay Range starts at $14 per hour (or more depending on experience)

👉 The Essentials:
Minimum Age: 18 Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience: Previous experience or coursework in childcare or recreation is a plus. Certifications: New Hire Orientation (before your first shift) CPR Pro, First Aid, and AED (within 30 days of hire)
💪 What We’re Looking For:
Enthusiasm, energy, and a love for working with kids. Ability to spend up to nine hours outdoors, leading activities and ensuring campers’ well-being. Strong communication skills and a knack for keeping things fun and safe.

*NOTE: This is a seasonal position running from mid-May through early August. The role requires consistent availability Monday–Friday. Shifts can be scheduled within the window of 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., but you will work no more than 8.5 hours per day, up to five days per week.* **Applicants must be able to commit to this schedule and availability for the full season.**
