We are looking to add a new team member to our accounting department at one of the top travel companies in the country.  This is a support role with specific daily tasks and also backup for other roles within the department.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Commission reconciliation: Matching sales data with payment information to ensure accuracy and processing deposits.
  • Data entry: Entering sales data from CRM systems or other sources into commission tracking software.
  • Issue resolution: Investigating and resolving any discrepancies or errors in commission postings.  Assisting with research for our advisors.
  • Special projects as needed.
  • Will learn other related tasks to help cover other roles for vacations, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills: Strong customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail: Critical for accurate data entry and commission calculations. 
  • Analytical skills: Ability to understand complex commission structures and perform calculations correctly. 
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets: Excel skills are essential for posting commission payments.
  • Data entry accuracy: Ability to input large volumes of data with minimal errors. 
  • Problem-solving skills: To identify and resolve issues with commission postings. 
  • Ability to work independently and in a small team environment
  • Previous travel industry experience not required, but would be helpful
  • Proficiency in the following programs a plus:
    • Microsoft Suite: Outlook and Excel
    • QuickBooksOnline
    • Sion
    • MyARC
    • Debit Memo Manager 

 

This new position will be M-F from 9a-530p in our Raleigh office.  After 90-day probationary period and training, position may transition to hybrid (3 days in office/2 days WFH).  This is a full-time position with health benefits (employer pays 80% of health premium, other coverages available), life insurance, short-term disability insurance, and 3 weeks’ vacation + travel benefits.
