We are currently seeking a Demand Planner.

The Demand Planner is responsible for maintaining accurate plans based on demand signaling and revenue projections across multiple time horizons (near, mid and long term) in accordance with the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process. This role reports to the Director of Sales Operations and uses data-driven decision making within the sales and service department at Cascade Designs Inc.

This role collaborates with Sales managers to ensure the customer requirements are accurately reflected within the demand plan, communicating adjustments to the demand plan to Supply Chain personnel based on customer demand changes and/or supply updates. 

Position Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for planning demand to support sales objectives along with providing key business Intel to drive sales performance. This position will use data to drive day-to-day decision making.
  • Review customer demand & sales plans to ensure the right mix and quantity of products to support sales and business objectives is reflected.
  • Maintain a monthly rolling consensus-based demand plan.
  • Drive improvements in forecast accuracy. Investigate forecast deviations and take corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with S&OP team to address any supply updates that may affect the demand plan and communicate impacts to the sales team.
  • Analyze, interpret, and understand demand signals to inform and adjust the forecast as appropriate by SKU, horizon, category, family, style, channel, etc.
  • Manage data integrity within Planning & Business Intelligence tools (BI tools) and validate alignment of demand plans across systems.
  • Support the maintenance of product hierarchy and categorizations.
  • Create and distribute reports to facilitate optimal demand signaling and order accuracy.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders in support of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) policies to achieve timely SKU introductions, discontinuations, etc.
  • Participate in cross functional initiatives across the business and other ad hoc duties as required.

Minimum Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in demand planning, sales, supply chain, or forecasting.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manipulate large datasets, perform calculations, and interpret numerical information to make informed decisions.
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Proficient computer skills with knowledge of Outlook, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams
  • exceptionally experienced with MS Excel; particularly multi-layered formulas, pivot tables, conditional formatting, etc.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly to different levels in the organization through strong presentation skills; both verbal and written communication.

Preferred Candidate Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred
  • 3+ years in a demand planning or forecasting role preferred
  • Understanding of outdoor products, market trends, and customer preferences
  • Proficiency in demand planning processes, methodologies, software, and familiarity with BI tools
  • Experience in a S&OP-driven manufacturing organization 
  • Knowledge of global market dynamics and supply chain dependencies

  • This is an onsite position located in Reno, NV
  • Travel required (< 20%)
