Position Overview:

The Digital Merchandising Specialist is responsible for executing and enhancing the online merchandising strategy for all brands within our portfolio. In alignment with the overall marketing and sales strategies, this role maximizes consumer engagement and sales conversion across digital platforms. This includes managing online marketplaces, supporting e-commerce initiatives, ensuring that digital content is consistent, and optimizing for performance across platforms like Amazon and Walmart.

This role is also key in supporting the go-to-market process, collaborating across teams to activate new products, maintaining content accuracy, tracking platform health metrics, and aligning digital shelf presence with paid promotional efforts. The ideal candidate brings attention to detail, analytical thinking, a passion for process improvement, and a deep understanding of how merchandising drives performance.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage daily merchandising experiences across Amazon, Walmart, and other retailer platforms.
  • Set up and activate new SKUs through internal workflows, retail portals, or setup forms.
  • Manage monthly A-level and quarterly B/C-level product catalog audits to ensure consistency and optimization.
  • Resolve IDQ/content issues, identify review trends (1–2-star reviews), and monitor infringement.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing, Creative, Sales, and eCommerce teams to identify content opportunities that align with growth objectives.
  • Execute and update A+ content and manage Amazon Vine programs.
  • Optimize Seller and Vendor Central product listings, focusing on content performance and organic rank.
  • Support Walmart Marketplace setup and merchandising workflows.
  • Align merchandising updates with paid strategy efforts, including promotional campaigns and placement coordination.
  • Monitor KPIs (conversion, traffic, ranking, content score) and report weekly and monthly performance.
  • Conduct competitive landscape reviews and identify product, feature, or content enhancement opportunities.
  • Work cross-functionally to support Brand Review Council deliverables and present insights that shape go-to-market decisions.

Initial Responsibilities: 

This position will lean heavily on execution within the first 90 – 120 days to ensure all brands and product listings are up to AOB standards for our online consumers. Below are areas of focus within that period.

  • New product activation and SKU setup across platforms.
  • Monthly and quarterly catalog audits.
  • A+ and Vine campaign execution.
  • Platform reporting and performance reviews.
  • PIM cleanup support and asset tagging in Canto.
  • Strategy integration with paid promotions.
  • Brand Review Council participation and planning insights.
  • Process and workflow improvements.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, merchandising, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in online marketing or merchandising.
  • Familiarity with Vendor and Seller Central and other external e-commerce platforms.
  • A passion for the outdoor industry is preferred.

 

Competencies and Skills:

  • Strong analytical and reporting skills to evaluate platform health and optimize product content.
  • Ability to structure SEO-friendly content that improves rank and consumer experience.
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, and detail-driven.
  • Proficient in Excel, to set up and manage vendor product setup forms

  • Ability to move about the facility on a regular basis to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting heavy. equipment (up to 50 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing, or walking.
  • Visual and hearing acuity.

 

Work Environment and Personal Protective Equipment:

  • General office environment, with some exposure to plant environment, with forklift and other general hazards. Some exposure to outdoors, rough terrain, firearms, and lead.

Within any of our facilities, employees may be exposed to manufacturing noise, airborne liquid chemicals, fine particulate dust, ambient temperatures, and industrial lighting. The work environment is similar to most manufacturing and distribution operations. May be exposed to excessive noise, temperatures, hazards associated with working around moving machinery, work in confined quarters, exposure to vibrations and shop lighting, continuous exposure to hot temperatures, may be humid, odors, dust, continuous exposure to mechanical hazards, and occasional exposure to chemical hazards.

The following Personal Protective Equipment is required:

  • Safety glasses with side shields and hearing protection are required when on the manufacturing floor.

The use of additional personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required when a job task(s) is being completed in or around your assigned department or in another department, this includes safety eyewear, hearing protection, and safety footwear.
