We’re looking for a night owl leader! As the Inside Sales Assistant Manager (GWiz) – Night Shift, you’ll support the sales and operational effectiveness of our Global Connection Officers (GCOs) during our brand new night operations. You’ll lead, coach, and motivate a high-performing night team to deliver exceptional customer service, hit key revenue and commission targets, and bring the magic of G Adventures to life around the clock.
In this role you will be working overnight shifts, on a rotational basis of 4 nights on and 3 nights off. Flexibility is required as shift times will vary.
You’ll also provide essential support to the Inside Sales Manager by handling operational tasks and ensuring everything runs smoothly overnight — all while living and breathing the G Adventures core values.
This role is a hybrid role based out of South Africa, Cape Town, where a minimum number of days as set by the region, may be required in the Cape Town office. We are open to remote applicants but they must live within a commutable distance to our office in Cape Town and may be required to attend office from time to time. Applicants must have their own transport to the office as G Adventures does not provide transportation/parking.
Lead and support a team of night shift GCOs by coaching, training, motivating, recruiting, and managing performance while fostering a strong team culture — even when the rest of the world is asleep.
Ensure the team delivers world-class customer service and maximizes sales opportunities using available customer insights and feedback.
Help the team hit sales, revenue, and business KPIs by providing tools, systems, and direct support — from managing discount files to resolving booking issues and coordinating with other departments.
Maintain up-to-date, expert knowledge of G Adventures products and services to support the team and our travelers effectively.
Guide the team through problem-solving, resource use, and goal setting during their shifts to keep productivity high and issues minimal.
Handle escalations and support external partners and suppliers during the night shift, solving booking issues and ensuring smooth operations.
Collaborate with other departments and contribute to ongoing business improvement projects — night ideas welcome!

Minimum 1 year of GDS experience
1+ years of Customer Service/Administration experience
2+ years in a Travel Sales environment
Strong global geography knowledge
Familiarity with G Adventures processes and tools
Experience in a night shift or remote environment is a plus
Clear, professional communication — both written and verbal
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to multitask under pressure
Self-motivated, organized, and goal-oriented
Comfortable working independently and leading a team remotely
Reliable, accountable, and flexible in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment.
Mac computer skills required
Transport to be able to commute to our offices on a semi regular basis.
