About Us
G Adventures is the world’s largest small-group adventure travel company and we’ve been making epic travel memories happen on all seven continents for over 30 years.
Our mission is simple: to change lives through travel. And not just our travelers’ either. Since day one, our tours have been built to establish meaningful relationships with local communities, directly benefiting the people and places we visit at every step of our tours.
With the demand for travel coming back strong, we are set up and excited for this next chapter in our company’s story — and we’d love for you to be a part of it.
Our DNA revolves around building, nurturing, and developing a diverse culture of people and a true sense of belonging, where everyone is encouraged to bring their authentic self to work each and every day. You’ll have the opportunity to grow your career, and yourself, alongside a passionate, talented, and welcoming community that works hard to spread goodness around the world.
If all that sounds like your kind of thing, well, we can’t wait for you to join us.
About the role
Are you an HR pro ready for a new adventure? We're on the lookout for a passionate Human Resources Generalist to join our community in London for a 14-month maternity cover. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a solid HR background who's keen to dive in and make a real impact on our team across the UK, Europe and North Africa.
You'll be the go-to person for all things HR, from finding the perfect new team members to helping us build a great community across G Adventures. You don't need to know the travel industry inside and out—just a genuine interest in HR and passion for travel and some hands-on experience at a similar level.
This is a hybrid role based in our London office three days a week, so you get the best of both worlds!
What You’ll be Doing:
Finding the Best Talent: You'll be the co-pilot for our hiring managers, guiding them through the recruitment journey from start to finish. You'll make sure we're always following the map of local employment laws.
Keeping Things Running Smoothly: You'll be the master of our HR systems (like Workday), ensuring our employee records are always accurate and confidential. From handling invoices to answering questions in our support inbox, you'll be the hero of daily HR operations. You'll also help with payroll reports and make sure our team's transitions are seamless.
Building a Great Team: You'll be a trusted partner for our leaders, helping them navigate performance management and employee relations. You'll assist with everything from taking meeting minutes to conducting investigations and coaching managers on best practices. You'll also play a key part in supporting our people through company changes.
Benefits & Compliance Navigator: You'll oversee our benefits administration, ensuring our team is well-supported and that we're always compliant with local employment laws. You’ll also build strong relationships with our external partners, from benefits providers to office facilities suppliers.
Creative Collaborator: You'll get to work with our global and regional teams on exciting projects, finding new ways to improve our processes and enhance the employee experience. You’ll help us plan and deliver initiatives that make G Adventures an even better place to be.
