Job Title: Ski Patrol

Status: Full-Time/PartTime, Seasonal, Non-Exempt
Supervisor: Ski Patrol Director / Mountain Operations Manager
Ski Patrol at King Pine Ski Area is responsible for various mountain safety tasks.
Responsibilities Include:
- Monitoring the mountain for hazards and dangerous conditions
- Opening and closing trails
- Reporting on hazards for guests
- Reviewing conditions of every trail
- Responding to medical emergencies
- Providing first aid and transportation for injured skiers
- Completing required documentation
- Direct communication with injured guests, family members and advanced medical care
- Promoting and providing safety education
Qualifications Include:
- Certification in OEC (Outdoor Emergency Care) or WFR (Wilderness First Responder) or EMT, Nurse, Doctor
- CPR and AED certification
- Comfortable skiing any trails, from green circles to double black diamonds
- Abilitiy to work in extreme temperatures and extreme weather conditions
- Ability to lift, move and carry 50+ pounds
- Ability to ski while carrying equipment
- Self-motivated
- Team Player
- Ability to remain calm and in control during possibly traumatic situations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
