Saint Joseph's College of Maine is accepting applications for the position of Lead Camp Counselor for Track & Field Camp! This Camp is scheduled for July 8 - 11, 2025.

Duties & Responsibilities Associated with Position

  • Supervision and coordination of activities for the camp focused on Sprints and Jumps
  • Ensuring Student Camp Counselors are focused on campers and planned activities
  • Help campers plan and carry out projects and activities
  • Promote and encourage camper participation in activities
  • Enforce camp rules and regulations and ensures safety in the recreational facilities
  • Demonstrates use of recreational equipment and teaches participants the principles, techniques, and safety procedures for each activity
  • Work with camp staff to handle challenges with facilities, programs and campers
  • Help each participant meet the goals established by the camp for camper development
  • Encourage respect for personal property, camp equipment, and facilities

Required Knowledge/Skills:

  • Experience in working with adolescents in a group setting
  • Ability to learn and enforce the camp's safety and operating rules 

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

  • Current CPR/First Aid, AED certification
