Compensation Range: $15.50 - $17.50 per hour
Dates: Positions available for Fall 2025/Winter 2026 have a start date range from Late September - December and end date range of March - April 2026. Old Faithful store operation dates are 12/15/25-3/15/26, staff for this store will need to start at least 2 weeks prior for training. Training will take place at our Gardiner/Mammoth store location.

Yellowstone Forever (YF) is the official nonprofit partner of Yellowstone National Park. Our mission is to protect, preserve, and enhance Yellowstone National Park through education and philanthropy. YF connects people to Yellowstone through outstanding visitor experiences and educational programs and translates those experiences into lifelong support of the park and philanthropic investment in its future. Our educational programming and products help people enhance their understanding and appreciation of the wildlife, natural wonders, and cultural history of the park. YF’s operations include Park Stores in and around Yellowstone; the Yellowstone Forever Institute, which offers in-depth educational programing for people of all ages; and a supporter program which raises funds for priority park projects.
The Park Store Associate is a critical role in the daily operation of Yellowstone Forever Park stores at visitor centers and contact stations throughout the Greater Yellowstone National Park Area. The associate represents “the face” of the organization by working on the front lines and often in partnership with naturalist rangers from the National Park Service. Associates assist and engage visitors with purchases of educational products, explain our supporter program and recruit new members, and help answer visitor questions about Yellowstone National Park. Success in this position requires outstanding visitor/customer service skills and a passion for Yellowstone National Park and its preservation and sharing that passion with others.

This is a seasonal, non-exempt (hourly) position, which will be based in Gardiner, MT or Old Faithful, YNP, WY. Compensation is based upon experience, pay range is $15.50 - $17.50 per hour, and typically is 40 hours/week. This position is not eligible for health, dental, and vision benefits. Housing:
Shared employee housing is available to rent in Gardiner, MT on a limited basis. Our employee housing is limited as it is a 3-bedroom shared unit, with other employees and volunteers. Our policy does not allow for pets or couples in shared housing. Living in employee housing is not a requirement of this position.
Shared employee housing is available to rent in Old Faithful, WY on a limited basis. Our employee housing is limited as it is a 2-bedroom shared unit, with other employees and volunteers. Our policy does not allow for pets or couples in shared housing. Living in employee housing is not a requirement of this position. Exception: If a couple applies and both are hired the couple would occupy the 2-bedroom apartment, therefore the unit would not be shared with other employees.
