About the Role
We are looking for a Reservations Assistant to support effective communication, provides administrative support and plays a key role in maintaining supplier compliance and resolving booking-related issues - as well as offering administrative support to Regional Operations Managers.
This role is a hybrid role based out of South Africa, where a minimum number of days as set by the region, is required in the Cape Town office.
What You'll be Doing:
Process reservations requested by the Sales team in accordance with Product team specifications, ensuring full compliance with Block Sheet guidelines.
Perform validation checks in internal systems (e.g., Block Sheet, Validations) and report discrepancies to the Reservations Specialist or Manager, Flights & Reservations.
Support the Global Inside Sales teams by promptly processing booking requests, changes, and cancellations using internal tools and reports, while ensuring clear and efficient communication.
Communicate all significant reservation details to the Reservations team, Tour Staff and other relevant stakeholders in preparation for trips.
Respond to inquiries via phone and email in a professional, prompt and courteous manner.
Assist in monitoring supplier performance, including response times and service accuracy, and escalate persistent issues to the Reservations Specialist and/or Manager, Flights & Reservations.
Desired Skills & Experience
The perfect first full time role for someone with some previous office and administration experience or a recent graduate.
Solid computer literacy. Being comfortable with spreadsheets is essential.
Comfortable navigating multiple computer systems with accuracy.
Highly proficient in English, both written and spoken.
Comfortable working flexible shifts, including weekends, to meet business needs
