About The Role:
We are seeking a highly organized and operationally minded DTC Buyer to support our growing Direct-to-Consumer business, including Amazon. This role will manage the end-to-end buying process with a strong focus on inventory planning, allocation, and cross-functional collaboration with channel partners. The ideal candidate will be results-driven, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced commerce environment.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Own and execute the buying process across all DTC channels, including Amazon.
- Manage bulk purchase orders to ensure timely product delivery aligned with sales forecasts.
- Partner with channel leads to ensure assortment alignment, pricing strategy, and promotional readiness.
- Lead weekly reporting on sales performance, sell-through, and inventory health.
- Work closely on allocation to optimize inventory flow by channel, season, and region.
- Support and collaborate with the site merchandising team to ensure product visibility, launches, and content accuracy.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders including planning, logistics, and marketing teams.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencies in the DTC buying workflow.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Allocation Responsibilities:
- Own weekly and monthly inventory allocation across 7 retail doors and DTC channels.
- Maintain ideal inventory levels by door based on sales velocity, space, and regional demand.
- Monitor stock-to-sales ratios and make proactive adjustments to minimize markdowns and maximize sell-through.
- Partner with planning and logistics to support timely allocations for key floorsets, launches, and promos.
- Track and resolve stock imbalances between doors and channels.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Marketing, Supply Chain or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in buying, preferably in DTC and/or eCommerce channels.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel or other reporting tools.
- Experience managing bulk orders and working within inventory systems (e.g., Full Circle and Shopify).
- Solid understanding of the digital customer journey and ecommerce merchandising best practices.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Highly organized with a proactive mindset and attention to detail.
Location: This is an in-office hybrid position, mandatory 4 days per week in office in Irvine, CA with the option to work from home 1 day per week. Subject to change without notice as per company guidelines.
Compensation: The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $110,000 plus opportunity for annual bonus; salary is based on the experience that you bring to the position.
