Are you a seasoned bike mechanic with a keen eye for detail that would stand up to the highest level of scrutiny? Do you constantly talk to your friends, family and pets about bikes and every detail of every component? We are searching for a friendly, enthusiastic marketing and PR mechanic to be part of a team that serves dynamic needs; from event support to media demo product, from marketing photoshoot builds to varying athlete bike needs, whatever the company asks of us we get it done. HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

  • As a member of the Specialized Service Course, you will be responsible for cleaning, tuning, adjusting, and assembling bikes for all manners of audiences. This has a primary focus supporting our Global team with marketing and media relations business priorities.
  • You will have the opportunity to interact with many other groups within Specialized, including: Marketing, Product, R&D, S-Racing, Specialized University, Quality, Retail, Rider Care.
  • Attend events such as early media/retailer product launches, races, internal brand events, and photoshoots as a representative of the Specialized Service Team.
  • You will build and ship media and marketing product on a daily basis, based on marketing priorities.

WHAT YOU NEED TO WIN

  • Ability to work as a strong member of a team
  • Highest level of mechanical ability
  • 5+ years’ experience servicing bicycles in a professional environment
  • Experience and in depth understanding of servicing and setting up suspension
  • Significant customer service experience, preferably in bicycle shops, or other service shop environment
  • Organization and follow through are a must as is the ability to balance a fast tempo to deliver incredible results
  • Proficiency with computer programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel. Oracle and Atlassian experience is a plus
  • Professional, technical, and personable communication skills both written and verbal are critical in working with media partners
  • Certifications from S-Tec, STU, Fox, UBI, etc. a plus

The location for this position is at our Morgan Hill, California office and will require international and domestic travel.

PAY

Below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company if based in the following locations:

California Base Pay Range: ($21/hr - $35/hr )

*At Specialized, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package and will depend on your work experience, skills, certification, and location.
