Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive automated test suites for our software applications.

  • Evaluate, select, and implement appropriate test automation frameworks, tools, and technologies.

  • Integrate automated tests seamlessly into our existing CI/CD pipeline to enable continuous testing and delivery.

  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective test strategies.

  • Analyze existing manual test cases and identify opportunities for automation, converting them into automated scripts.

  • Execute automated tests, analyze results, and report defects in a clear and concise manner.

  • Proactively identify and address potential automation bottlenecks and areas for improvement.

  • Develop and maintain documentation for test automation processes, frameworks, and tools.

  • Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards within the test automation framework.

  • Mentor and guide junior team members on test automation principles and practices.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies in test automation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience

  • 5+ years of proven experience as a Software Test Automation Engineer or similar role.

  • Strong understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) and quality assurance methodologies.

  • Extensive experience with various test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, Pytest, etc.).

  • Proficiency in with Python Programming Language (e.g., Go, Java, JavaScript, C#).

  • Experience with CI/CD tools and concepts (e.g., GitHub Actions, CircleCI).

  • Solid understanding of version control systems (e.g., Github).

  • Experience with API testing and tools (e.g., Postman, Rest Assured).

  • Familiarity with database concepts and SQL. Postgres a plus

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).

  • Experience with security testing methodologies.

  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).

  • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
