JOB TITLE: Ski/Snowboard Instructor
JOB SUMMARY: Provide high-quality snowboard and ski instruction to guests of all ages and skill levels, ensuring a fun, safe, and engaging learning environment.
REPORTS TO: Adventure Center Manager
PRIMARY DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:
1. Welcome and engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner
2. Assess students’ ability levels and tailor instruction accordingly
3. Instruct individuals and groups in skiing or snowboarding techniques
4. Reinforce and encourage skill development through guided practice
5. Teach and emphasize safety, control, and mountain awareness
6. Maintain lesson schedule (50-minute sessions)
7. Collaborate with ski shop and resort staff to ensure seamless guest experiences
PRIOR EXPERIENCE: Prior experience is required.
RESPONSIBLE FOR: The safety, supervision, and skill development of all guests during lessons.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Bending and lifting without restriction, having beginners fall on you.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Teaching four to six (4-6) hours in cold weather.
HAZARDS ENCOUNTERED: Ice, snow, wind, fog, and cold.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Professional Ski Instructors of America certification is preferred.
