JOB SUMMARY
Theâ¯Instructor for Summer Camps/Gateway Programsâ¯is a passionate, motivatedâ¯individualâ¯who loves to work with and teach youth, providesâ¯a greatâ¯customer experience, and has a desire to grow in the climbing community.â¯Theâ¯position involves top rope belaying for children and sometimes adults, facilitating games and activities, and managingâ¯risks forâ¯participants during our various youth programs. The programs primarily include our week-long camps, parties, and other Gateway programs as needed. Part-timeâ¯instructors are primarily working withâ¯youthâ¯between the ages of 6-17 for 3-4 hours per class, depending on the program.â¯â¯Prior climbing experience is not expected or required – we are excited to train individuals who are excited to learn!

- Teach climbing skills from provided curriculumsâ¯and create inclusive spaces that foster a sense of belonging.â¯

- Speak open and honestly; asking for help when needed and look to learn from mistakes.â¯

- Availability to work our complete Summer Camp hours (8:30am - 5:30pm, Mon-Fri).
- Our Summer Camps Run from June 16 - August 14.
- Candidates should be available to work (at minimum) 6 out of the total 9 weeks of Summer Camp. Weekly working hours may vary depending on enrollment.â¯

- This is a part time positionâ¯
- Pay range is $17.65 - $18.00/hr, with flexibility based on experienceâ¯

- New hires will complete a screening process.â¯
- Scheduled shift times may vary from week to week or month to month.â¯

- This is a temporary position that will run (approximately) from May-August as agreed upon at the time of hire. Upon completion of the program, future opportunities are possible but not guaranteed.
