Position Summary:

Responsible for monitoring and maintaining terrain park features as well as other freestyle features when applicable. Creates a fun and safe environment through crowd supervision, safety awareness education, freestyle terrain etiquette, and guest relations. Aids in design and construction of terrain park features. Enforces terrain park pass policy.

Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities:

  • Installing and maintaining park signage, closures, trail markings, fencing, and tower pads.
  • Assist in setup of terrain park features.
  • Inspection of freestyle terrain features visually and physically.
  • Ongoing monitoring and maintenance of terrain features and equipment.
  • Fill out daily logs and incident reports as needed.
  • Assist with special events including construction and maintenance of event sites.
  • Participate in guest education and training.
  • Check park passes and enforce terrain park pass policy.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Other duties as assigned
  • Must gain knowledge of the services that Schweitzer Mountain Resort offers.
  • Frequently working around heavy equipment. 
  • May be required to help administer first aid and help Ski Patrol as needed.

Physical Capabilities- Advanced level skiing or snowboarding with park experience required. Able to remain outside in all weather conditions for entirety of shift. Able to lift 50lbs on own and more with assistance.

  • Ability to write simple correspondence. 
  • Ability to effectively present information in one on-one and small group situations to customers, and other employees of the organization.

Education/Related Experience:

Minimum education required- English reading, writing and communication, Highschool diploma or GED preferred. 

Minimum time in related position- At least 1 month related experience preferred.
