Position Summary:
The Tour Guide warmly welcomes guests and proactively offers them information on operations and answers questions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Proactively greet guest, groups of guests, and schools within earshot with a warm welcome
Communicate ticket prices accurately
Follow the Find a Way to Their Heart service program with visitors, coworkers, and vendors
Ensure group leaders are guided efficiently
Document group and school group’s activities in numerical order on the check off sheet
Command attention and take the lead with group leaders and teachers
Explain and start exhibits as needed
Ensure exhibits are clean and working
Report to management in the instance an exhibit is having an issue
Obtain and share accurate farm knowledge with guests and co-workers
Complete daily operational checklist in area of responsibility
Complete daily cleaning checklist in area of responsibility
Solve problems as they occur
Work in a fast-paced environment paying attention to each guest and remembering which attractions they experienced and which ones they have yet to experience
Professionally, politely, and positively communicate to guests and co-workers
Manage time effectively and adapt quickly to changing priorities
Follow written and verbal instructions from company operating procedures and/or management
Stay organized in manner, with materials, and company property
Stay in constant communication with other departments informing them of guests’ activities and their desires
Multitask and anticipate the needs of guests
Communicate departmental improvement ideas to management
Find projects to work on during idle times
All other duties as assigned

Experience and Education:
Minimum of 2 years in similar position or equivalent combination of education and experience
