We are seeking an experienced Trade Marketing Lead to drive and scale WHOOP’s retail marketing initiatives across the DACH region. Reporting to the EU Trade Marketing Manager, this role is pivotal in shaping WHOOP’s physical and digital retail footprint. You’ll lead the planning, design, execution, and performance analysis of in-store and online marketing initiatives, ensuring a seamless and impactful brand experience across all retail channels. 


This role requires a proven track record in managing high-value accounts, fostering strong relationships, and delivering on targets. Experience in delivering cohesive marketing strategies to drive sell-through at retail and via distribution partners, to support the growth of WHOOP’s regional brand presence. 


You will work cross-functionally with teams such as Sales, Brand Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Creative and Apparel & Accessories to develop impactful campaigns, equip partners with the right tools, and ensure that WHOOP is effectively represented in all trade channels. This position is ideal for someone who thrives on both strategic planning and hands-on execution, with a strong grasp of regional market trends and customer preferences, ready to make a lasting impact in a fast-growing, dynamic market.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and execute regional trade marketing plans to drive awareness, acquisition, and engagement through retail and distribution channels in DACH.
  • Localise global marketing initiatives and assets to align with regional market trends, cultural nuances, and retail partner needs, ensuring brand consistency across all touchpoints.
  • Monitor account and activity performance, leveraging sales and market insights to inform trade marketing strategies, optimize partner pipelines, and maximize ROI across omni-channel efforts.
  • Brief, create and deploy effective point-of-sale (POS) materials, in-store displays, and digital assets. 
  • Plan and execute trade and retail events—including partner activations, experiential pop-ups and trade initiatives to enhance brand visibility, drive sell-through, and support product launches across the region.
  • Develop and implement training initiatives for retail associates to boost product knowledge and customer engagement.
  • Partner with Sales, Brand Marketing, Visual Merchandising, and Creative  teams to build and deliver integrated campaigns, promotional plans, and training initiatives that elevate WHOOP’s in-store and digital presence.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and cross-functional teams to drive alignment across operations, marketing, product, and finance.
  • Manage budgets and external vendors to ensure efficient and high-quality execution of marketing campaigns and activations.
  • Work with EU Trade Marketing Manager to assess European market trends, competitor positioning, pricing trends, and customer needs to deliver actionable insights that shape retailer pipelines and marketing strategies.


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Fluent in both German and English, with exceptional written and verbal communication. Additional languages are a bonus - please reference them in your application. 
  • 5+ years of experience in trade marketing, brand marketing, or retail marketing, ideally within the healthtech, consumer electronics, or premium consumer goods space.
  • Deep understanding of the DACH region with proven experience adapting marketing strategies to local market dynamics and consumer behaviors.
  • Proven ability to execute high-quality omni-channel campaigns and in-store activations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong cross-functional and geographical collaboration skills as well as excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building with key stakeholders.
  • Experience with distributor and retail partner relationships in the DACH region, including support for in-store activations and events.
  • Willingness to travel (25%), including visits to WHOOP HQ in Boston, MA.
