The Workday Administrator - Europe will provide technical support, development and ongoing maintenance of Workday for our European team and should demonstrate experience in Workday business processes specifically in Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking for Europe. We also have a Workday Administrator based in the US and this role will work very closely with that partner.

The candidate must be organized and analytical, adept at working in a team environment, able to follow and implement a project schedule, have a continuous improvement mindset and be capable of handling multiple priorities concurrently. We are looking for candidates who are excellent communicators, who are self-starting and capable of dealing with ambiguity and rapidly changing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Provides support for all European business areas including researching and resolving configuration issues, leading testing and auditing of data, training cross-functional users, developing reports and dashboards, and troubleshooting integrations.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvements and collaborates with functional teams (e.g. payroll, HR) to ensure proper support and sustainability.
  • Ensures up-to-date documentation of HCM processes and capabilities.
  • Support resolution of issues escalated; manage incidents, track ticket status and partner with teams to resolve
  • Collaborate with project resources in all aspects of system testing including development of test strategy documentation, creating test scripts, coordinate testing resources, compile test completion metrics, and test script execution
  • Work closely with other subject matter experts to ensure data integrity, configurations, troubleshooting, testing of system changes, report writing, and analyzing data flows for improvement opportunities.
  • Review business procedures/workflows to ensure system features are being fully utilized and identify Workday features that may improve efficiency.
  • Establish appropriate auditing and monitoring of data to ensure accuracy. Effectively prioritize and escalate issues as required.
  • Support the change order process through providing estimates on effort, defining requirements, designing and developing the solution using the Workday integration tools, Core Connectors, EIBs, Workday Studio, etc.
  • Support end users with ad hoc or nonstandard batch uploads, create complex reports and resolve issues with existing reports.
  • Maintain integration related requirements and technical documentation.
  • Act as point person for upgrades/releases, fixes, testing and other technical projects as assigned including partnering on training, content, and delivery.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree, equivalent degree or work with preferred concentration in Technology Services, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of practical Workday Administration experience outlined above including the configuration and support of European PATT.
  • Workday Integrations Certified is preferred. Experience using Workday Studio is required.
  • Experience with Workday Security Administration is required.
  • Advanced Workday Report Writing experience preferred.
  • Experience in writing documents and executing requirements, design, development, and testing.
  • Working knowledge of software development life cycle activities (i.e., requirements, analysis, design, construction, testing, and deployment).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work independently, perform under tight deadlines and multitask effectively.
  • Strong self-motivation balanced with a desire to achieve team goals.
  • Experience with iterative or agile software development methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of PM tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet and Jira.
