POSITION SUMMARY The Enterprise Network Operations Manager is responsible for the daily oversight, performance, reliability, availability, and scalability of the enterprise networking environment. This role leads a team of talented network administrators and other network operations professionals in operating, managing, monitoring, and driving continual improvement across all components of our networking environment and ensures reliable connectivity across all resort, data center and cloud sites across North America, including SDWAN, firewalls, core/distribution/access switching, WiFi environments, and the logical design and management overlays of each.
The ideal candidate will drive operational excellence, mature monitoring and observability to inform SLA metrics and KPIs, and partner with architecture, shared services, and resort operations teams to support strategic business and technology goals. Specifically, this role is responsible for rigorous Network IT Service Management delivery including incident, problem, request and change management, as well as continual service improvement, proactive configuration/lifecycle management, and financial performance.
This role ensures alignment of operational standards between the Enterprise Network Operations team and independent local resort network teams/resources. Additionally, this role is accountable for technology budgets/financial administration related to Enterprise Networking, including all enterprise networking vendor contracts and expenditure, including manufacturer, reseller, and managed service provider relationships.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of network administrators, analysts, and other network operations personnel responsible for 24x7 network operations and project execution, setting clear priorities and measures of success for the department.
- Develop team members in pursuit of their career goals, and work with other IT leaders to find opportunities to grow and support the broader IT team.
- Oversee the health, capacity, security, and performance of all network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, SD-WAN, WiFi, VPN, cloud networking, and data circuits.
Own IT Service Management processes for the Networking team, including incident, problem, request, and change management, including timely response, robust communications, root cause analysis, and corrective action plans to ensure continual improvement in our service delivery.
- Collaborate with the Architecture and Engineering team to define patterns, ensure operational viability, repeatability and scalability through technology/vendor evaluation, design, engineering and implementation of cloud, data center and resort-based networks including WAN, LAN, wireless, and network security solutions.
- Establish runbooks in compliance with our security operations and internal audit
requirements:
and ensure alignment to best practices and compliance frameworks (PCI, SOX, etc) for the networking technology domain.
- Maintain and enhance network monitoring, alerting, logging, and observability platforms.
Leverage automations and scripting to optimize tasks, improve reliability, and reduce time to resolution.
- Ensure accurate and maintained documentation for physical and logical diagramming, wiki articles, and support channels.
- Oversee the implementation, operationalization, and documentation of new Enterprise Network infrastructure including M&A, capital expansion, and tech refresh/technical debt addressment initiatives.
- Create and maintain strong relationships with enterprise and resort-based teams to ensure compelling and effective engagement in priority projects and other technology discussions.
Act as point of escalation for networking and other infrastructure issues and incidents.
- Manage annual operating budgets, financial administration and reporting for Enterprise Network Operations.
Work closely with IT Security, Compliance & Privacy to set and enforce standards, operational processes, and policies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Capabilities and Technology
Skills:
Proven track record managing complex and highly technical networking ecosystems including delegation of complex work streams to direct reports, outside team members, and third-party contractors and vendors.
- Demonstrated
experience:
managing a technically and regionally diverse team, with a focus on performance management, capability development, and improving team processes by leading through example. Expert-level knowledge and
experience:
in Cisco and Meraki routing, switching, identity services, automation, and WiFi technologies with demonstrated ability to track and understand emerging vendor strategies and roadmaps and their relevancy to the organization’s needs. Expert-level knowledge in Palo Alto Next Generation Firewall technologies including inspection, awareness, IPS, AMP, SSL/TLS, Identity Access Control, URL filtering, Segmentation, and the path towards Zero Trust.
Expert level knowledge of all layers of networking and specific in-depth
experience:
with switching, routing technologies and protocols such as EIGRP, BGP, and OSPF, and transport layer technology Comprehensive understanding and expertise across networking concepts and constructs including SDWAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP, Load Balancing, and cloud-based access, auth, and overlay technologies. Expert-level knowledge in monitoring, logging, and broad observability platforms, including automations, alerting, and scripting for fail over monitoring and management.
Extensive
experience:
in stakeholder management, including excellent written and verbal communication

- Demonstrated ability to work with financials, funding proposals, procurement processes, accounts payable/receivable, and forecasting models.
Functional knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services with practical

EDUCATION:
& CERTIFICATION Required: Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent verifiable work

in an enterprise network operations role in large global organizations, implementing and managing advanced network solutions. ITIL v3/v4 Foundations certification or equivalent demonstrable ITSM
