Position Title: Summer Camp Support Specialist

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Support Specialists provide operational, classroom, and behavioral support for summer camps and may mentor Instructors and Counselors-in-Training.

Shift Times: 7:30am–4:00pm (before care) OR 9:30am–6:00pm (after care).

- Schedule: 8 weeks starting June (no camp week of July 4th); training in late May.
DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervising campers (K–7th grade) and mentoring Counselors-in-Training.
- Providing classroom support, including substituting for lead/assistant instructors.
- Offering 1:1 camper support for various behavioral needs.
- Reviewing rosters, checking attendance, and completing daily reports.
- Ensuring supplies are replenished and preparing daily activities.
- Supporting before and after care operations as assigned.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
Must Haves (Required):
- At least 18 years of age.
- 1+ years working with children in a camp or classroom setting.
- Experience instructing children and communicating with diverse groups.
Nice-to-Haves (Preferred):
- Experience with program administrative support or leading peers.
- Knowledge of wildlife conservation.
- Certification or experience in behavioral support needs.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

Demands: Stand/walk for 2/3 of the day; lift 20 pounds; use hands for office/manual tools.
*
Conditions: Constant contact with co-workers; exposed to noise and extreme outdoor heat.
