Adventure Camp Counselor

Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and responsible Adventure Camp Counselor to work with our younger guests in our outdoor adventure camp programs. The counselor will lead and supervise children in fun, educational, and safe activities while promoting teamwork, independence, and respect for the outdoors. This is a seasonal, hands-on role perfect for individuals passionate about working with children and the outdoors.

Responsibilities:

The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this classification and are not all-inclusive of the specific position:

Welcome children to the camp.

• Assist in marking all children's belongings as needed

Actively participate and engage with the campers Participating in recreational activities such as games, running, crafts, hiking, swimming, ect.

• Ensure safe play conditions and attentively watch and tend to campers
• Collaborate with other team members

Have an upbeat and positive attitude

• Help maintain equipment and supplies
• Perform daily cleaning tasks
• Guide campers through behavioral situations and ask for help if needed
• Provide a fun and safe environment for the campers

Qualifications:

Previous childcare experience is not required, however, preferred. Work well with children and display patience. Complete CPR, First Aid Training. Training provided if necessary. Must be willing to work a majority of the 9-week program and 10+ hour days. Must have a valid driver's license. Must be 18+ and be able to pass a background check.
