THE POSITION With over 430 retail stores worldwide, our Store Leadership Teams are essential to our business. From ensuring effective store operations, strategies, and procedures, to guiding and developing team members, our Store Leadership Teams help create memorable customer
experience:
s while supporting and helping drive the company’s mission of “Connecting Active People with Their Passions.” The Area Manager primarily functions as a Store Manager and will also assist in the district by partnering with 2-3 additional stores on training and development initiatives, performance guidelines, and operational efficiency to maximize profitability.
Their home store is usually used as an example of operational, visual, customer
experience:
and Human Resources best practices. They are a motivator and leader, training and directing a diverse store staff and developing talent. They lead and model a dynamic buying environment in their store, and stores supported, while meeting financial performance and KPI goals. The Area Manager typically spends two days each week working with their assigned stores, and three days each week working within their home store.
HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE Provides direction for 2-3 stores within a district, in addition to managing their own store, working closely with the assigned Store Managers to achieve success in financial and team development objectives.
- Provides coaching and best practices to assigned stores and provide guidance to assist stores with improving exceptional execution initiatives, such as KPI’s, sales, merchandising, inventory utilization, segment accountability, coaching, etc. Reviews operational reports and records with assigned Store Managers and help ensure understanding, analytics, and uses
- Assists District Manager/Regional Director and assigned Store Managers to ensure budget, financial goals and expense targets are met.
Primarily responsible for own store P&L; advises, educates and influences assigned Store Managers.
- Develops productive cross-functional relationships with various corporate business partners to ensure successful inventory levels, margins, and promotions/pricing directives are meeting expected goals.
