Description:
Responsibilities:
Camp by the Bay runs from June 15 to July 24, with a mandatory camp administration orientation from June 8 to June 12. There will be no camp on June 19 and July 3. Primary daily work hours for this position are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Applicants who are not available for the full camp period are still encouraged to apply; however, preference will be given to applicants who are able to work the entire session.
- Plan, organize, and lead daily activities, games, challenges, and special events that promote excitement, teamwork, and camper engagement.
- Coordinate and facilitate House System competitions, spirit events, and camp-wide programs.
- Design creative, high-energy activities that are safe, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate for campers in Kindergarten through 4th grade.
- Manage activity supplies, materials, and equipment, including setup and cleanup of activity spaces.
- Collaborate with counselors and camp leadership to ensure smooth transitions and strong participation during activity periods.
- Support counselors during scheduled activities by providing direction, modeling enthusiasm, and assisting with camper supervision.
- Assist in planning and implementing special theme days, assemblies, and large-group events.
- Ensure all activities follow camp safety guidelines and maintain a positive, welcoming atmosphere for all campers.
- Communicate regularly with camp administration regarding activity needs, supply inventory, and ideas for new programming.
