Field Test Coordinator, e-Bike

We are seeking a Field Test Coordinator who will drive the organization of field-testing Specialized bikes in our headquarter in Morgan Hill. This role is essential to ensure every new bike delivers the dream user experience. In this role, you will be directly responsible for coordinating our field test fleet featuring the latest and greatest bike technology. This includes ensuring the right bikes are ridden at the right time, all feedback from test rides is clearly communicated and that all test rides achieve the test requirements in a complete and timely fashion. This role is key to verifying that all field test issues are fully addressed at the rider level.

KEY TASKS

1. Manage and maintain the test fleet

  • Support the definition of quantities and timing of the different test programs
  • Make sure bikes/ spare parts/new components are ordered and timely provided to the right locations
  • Arrange the preparation of the test fleet for the specific campaigns
  • Plan the maintenance activities to ensure the fleet is kept in the best riding conditions
  • Align with the workshop on prioritization and planning of activities
  • Work with product and engineering team to ensure finding from field test are clearly summarized and communicated

2. Manage the field test riders

  • Find the most suitable field test riders within or outside the company and ensure they deliver to achieve the test requirements
  • Support and manage external field testers ensuring test cases and deliverables are clear
  • Be the interface between field testers and product team

REQUIREMENTS

  • Passion for cycling, e-bikes, or outdoor active lifestyle
  • Deep mechanical knowledge of bikes. Familiarity with e-bikes or other e-mobility/mechatronic systems preferred
  • Approximately 1-2 years of demonstrated experience in a workshop environment, preferably within bike mechanics or a related technical field
  • Experience with digital tools and their integration to laptop or phone like dataloggers, sensors and measurement equipment is a plus
  • Previous experience in event management is a clear advantage
  • Proven experience with planning and scheduling tasks or projects
  • Excellent skills in MS office tools. Knowledge of Jira/Confluence or change management systems is desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English is required
  • Availability to travel internationally up to 20%

PAY

Below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company if based in the following locations:

California Base Pay Range: ($34,528 - $54,900 )

*At Specialized, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package and will depend on your work experience, skills, certification, and location.
