Project Manager Active
SUMMARY
As a Project Manager for Active Bikes, you will lead cross-functional teams globally to plan, coordinate, and deliver innovative bicycle projects on time and to high-quality standards. You will oversee internal and external resources, ensuring clear decision-making channels, process adherence, and the successful execution of product development from concept through production. This role requires a strong background in project management within a technical and fast-paced environment, combined with a passion for cycling and active lifestyles.
HOW YOUβLL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
- Lead multiple global product development teams through the entire bike development process to bring new Active Bikes to market on schedule.
- Ensure consistent processes and accountability across teams, maintaining high standards of project execution.
- Facilitate successful project kickoffs to define clear product requirements, rider needs, and technical specifications, resulting in detailed Concept Phase plans.
- Develop and manage interdependent program timelines, incorporating input from all stakeholders and securing buy-in for project plans.
- Identify critical path items and manage tradeoffs to keep projects progressing toward goals.
- Create action plans to mitigate risks and resolve blockers throughout development.
- Maintain transparent and effective communication regarding project status, risks, and milestones across all departments.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, tools, and workflows in product development.
- Coach, mentor, and empower team members to foster accountability, proactive problem-solving, and shared project ownership.
WHAT YOU NEED TO WIN
- Bachelorβs Degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or related field; advanced certifications are a plus.
- PMP or similar project management certification preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience managing complex product development projects, preferably in innovative, technical industries.
- Demonstrated experience working with multidisciplinary teams, including engineering, design, quality, manufacturing, and supply chain.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality standards, and product lifecycle management.
- Experience coordinating global teams across diverse cultures and time zones.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, or similar PLM systems.
- Passion for cycling, active lifestyles, or related industries is highly desirable.
