Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic, flexible, and compassionate Floating Summer Educator to support multiple classrooms during our summer program. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is passionate about early childhood development. For the right candidate, this seasonal position could evolve into a permanent teaching opportunity in the fall.
Key Responsibilities:
Support daily camp routines and activities in classrooms ranging from infants to preschoolers
Step in where needed to assist lead teachers with supervision, engagement, and transitions
Help create a safe, joyful, and stimulating environment for children
Model respectful communication and guidance aligned with our values of empathy and relationship-based care
Communicate effectively with fellow educators and supervisors regarding classroom needs and child development
Ideal Candidate:
Has experience working with young children (0–5 years old) in a licensed childcare or educational setting
Brings flexibility, reliability, and a collaborative spirit
Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills
Understands the importance of child-led exploration and presence
Holds or is pursuing ECE units, a CDA, or a degree in early childhood education (preferred but not required)
CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
