POSITION SUMMARY The Financial Analyst is a key member of the Alterra Mountain Company FP&A department. The position is primarily responsible to oversee financial processes in support of the Denver based corporate office and may assist with ongoing needs across resorts.

    This position coordinates the annual budget, forecasting, monthly close/reporting, and is responsible for ad-hoc analysis. The ideal candidate is motivated, self directed, comfortable presenting and working with employees at all levels of the company in a fast-paced work environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES General

    Responsibilities:

    G&A Financial Support and Oversight: Prepare, Review and Distribute monthly P&L reports Collaborate with budget owners on review and analysis of results Prepare monthly consolidated reporting package for senior leadership team, including commentary and analysis Participate on monthly management financial review meetings Participate in monthly financial soft close review Collaborate with accounting on adjusting entries, reclasses and general accounting process Facilitate annual planning and budgeting process Develop and improve financial reporting tools and processes Prepare monthly forecast and financial trend analysis Provide analytical support for annual plan reviews, target setting and other initiatives Financial support for corporate insurance, sponsorship, and other corporate programs Facilitate month forecasting process Ad hoc Financial Analysis: Provide financial analysis for budget owners and senior leaders to support corporate initiatives and business development efforts Collaborate with ongoing Merger and Acquisition activity Ad hoc financial modeling and data requests as required Other duties as assigned

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    3+ years of

    experience:

    in finance or accounting in a mid to large company is preferred Preferred: CPA, CFA or MBA with a focus on finance

    Experience:

    working within a large, complex organization is strongly preferred Strong Excel financial modeling
