reflected on the application). The NC Dept of Agriculture & Consumer Services - Forest Service is seeking a full time / 35 hours a week / Communication Specialist. This position is funded through supplemental grant funding and is responsible for a range of public information, communications and public relations work to be focused on outreach within Tropical Storm Helene disaster declared counties.
The selected candidate: ď‚§ Will work with program staff and subject matter experts to identify communications/outreach priorities in declared counties. ď‚§ Will deliver promotional and informational materials using a variety of communications channels, with the intent to build awareness and interest in Helene recovery programs and services geared for landowners in declared counties.
ď‚§ Plan, write and edit agency publications that cover a variety of program and service areas that range from forest protection and forest management to wildfire mitigation and prevention. ď‚§ Plan and write attention-grabbing copy for media campaigns. ď‚§ Assist with planning and preparing agency displays and exhibits specific to Helene recovery in declared counties.
ď‚§ Develop and write content for social media content specific to Helene recovery in declared counties. ď‚§ Will assist with information,
